The annual conference was dedicated to the theme “Redefining Management Education: Excellence and Relevance” and the primary focus of the conference agenda was on forming the vision for the future of management education.
During the conference 25th anniversary of CEEMAN as an organization was celebrated. In this connection, CEEMAN’s Board of Directors came together in creating Manifesto: “Changing the Course of Management Development: Combining Excellence with Relevance”. The Manifesto shows the evolution of the management education as well as points towards the future trends. It’s main purpose and ambition is to inspire a change of course in management teaching and research worldwide.

Conference scope and contributions
Some 240 CEEMAN members represent institutions in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Central Asia, China, Africa, and Latin America, in addition to the more established economies of Western Europe and the US.
CIIM was the only institute from Cyprus and from the East-Mediterranean region, represented at the conference by Dr. Anna Nikina-Ruohonen, Partnerships Executive. CIIM represented Cyprus and the region at large at the international conference.
Following close to twenty productive meetings with deans, founders and leaders of the management institutes across the globe, CIIM has proceeded with collaboration on student, faculty and research exchange with some of the notable international partners within the CEEMAN network.
Through the international positioning of CIIM, higher management education sector in Cyprus is given stronger publicity, visibility and promotion to the exceptional educational opportunities in the island. In the last 30 years, there has been tremendous progress in the higher education sector in Cyprus. In total, there are 8 universities in the country; three of them are public and five are private, with many other institutions functioning at the college level. This is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy, making Cyprus a regional educational center.
CEEMAN is an international management development association established in 1993 with the aim of accelerating the growth in quality of management development in central and eastern Europe. Now it is a global network of management development institutions interested in quality of education and innovations in this field, as well as in the broad area of subjects related to change, with some 220 members from over 55 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
