Committed to excellence in education
Cyprus spends more than 7% of its GDP on education – the third highest share in the European Union after Denmark and Sweden.
Public and private universities offer a broad range of subjects across all areas, from science and technology, to engineering, medicine, humanities and the arts. With almost a third of around 30,000 students currently enrolled in its universities being foreign nationals, Cyprus is fast becoming an ‘education destination’. The ability to study in English, gain recognised degrees at a lower cost, while living in a safe, attractive and stimulating environment, is drawing more and more overseas students to the island.
