The State Prize for study (monograph) / essay prize for 2017 editions is awarded

He is awarded for his work "Ideas of Hardness and Goodness: Nationalism, Socialism, Racism (1897-1922)".
 
To the writer and professor of Modern Greek Literature, Pantelis Voutouris, President of the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies of the University of Cyprus, was unanimously awarded the State Prize for Literature / Testing for Literature for the project "Ideas of Toughness and Goodness: Nationalism, Socialism , racism (1897-1922) ", (Kastaniotis publications). The announcement of the results of the competition for the State Literary Prizes for editions of the year 2017 was made by the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
 
The award will be hosted by the Minister of Education and Culture, Mr. Kostas Chambiaouris, at a special ceremony, which will take place on December 12, 2018, at 7:00 pm, at the Pallas Cinema Theater.
 
The award-winning book exploits to a great extent the material and archival evidence that emerged from the research program of Professor Pantelis Voutouris, "Ideologies in Greece: Nationalism, Racism, Socialism".
 
The book "Ideas of Hardness and Goodness", a largely unknown chapter of the history of ideas in Greece, won in June 2018 in Athens the First Prize Award for the 2017 e-journal for the book and the arts "The reader".
