Fees & Scholarships

Fees, funding and financial aid

Overall, university fees in Cyprus are lower than equivalent institutions in the EU and further afield. There are several funding options available, including scholarships and financial assistance programmes. There is a variety of scholarships available for both local and international students. Scholarships or financial aid packages are offered to refugees as well. These can be government or institution led.

Some institutions provide bursaries for international postgraduates, which are deducted from the total cost of tuition. Others, subsidise postgraduate students from abroad through assistantships. This involves helping with teaching, grading and lab supervision. Check individual universities’ sites for more information.

Government-funded scholarships, covering between 10% to 20% of fees, are available for international postgraduates who've displayed outstanding academic performance.
